If You Are VERY Unwell – A&E or 999

Please Attend a Major A&E Department for the Following

  • A feverish and lethargic/drowsy child
  • A feverish and floppy or unresponsive infant
  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Sudden and severe abdominal pain
  • Accidental or intentional overdose of medication
  • Trauma including falls and broken Bones

Ring 999 for these Life Threatening Conditions

  • Chest pain/tightness/heaviness (suspected heart attack)
  • Suspected Stroke
  • Suspected Meningitis
  • Anaphylactic Shock (Severe Allergy)
  • Heavy Bleeding or deep lacerations
  • Fluctuating level of consciousness or if completely unconscious
  • Difficulty breathing or if stopped breathing
  • Seizure / fit
